Based on your responses, you feel nurtured in special places that hold significance for you. Even if it’s a place you’ve never been before, if it stirs something in you, you’ll feel great there and make a note in your head and heart of the way you felt there.

It could be your favorite spot(s) at your own home or it could be a landmark or other beautiful building. Whichever it is, we’re likely to get great photos of you in places where you feel safely protected.

That doesn’t mean you can’t have images in beautiful outdoor places also but the energy from your special inside places makes you able to let down your guard, which leads to images that show you at your best.

Your Safety Comes First

Miguel Photography is following U.S. Centers for Disease Control and New York, New Jersey and Connecticut State and City health and safety guidelines to reduce transmission of the virus.

Social Distancing

During photo shoots, we continue to comply with social distancing guidelines for safe interactions.

Masks

Miguel and any assistants wear masks during photo shoots for your protection.

Sanitary Compliance

In keeping with suggestions from the CDC and other health organizations, hands are washed thoroughly before and after sessions.

Equipment and Surface Cleanliness

All equipment is kept in sanitized condition and cleaned after each use.

Location Safety

When not shooting in the studio, any location visited must also follow rigorous inspection protocols and strict occupancy limits.

How would you describe your style?

I don’t like posing. I’m trying to capture the essence of someone’s inner being. And you can’t capture that by posing because it becomes static. So my style is to capture moments of life within a second.

What drives you to make beautiful photographs?

It’s a lot. I love to imagine that I’m making my dreams become a reality. That sounds weird but I like making something that's abstract, surreal and hard to make sense of become real. Dreams don’t make sense but somehow there’s a message in them. When you put all that together in a picture, to make sense of it within a photo, that’s my aim.

What do you love about your work?

I like how it makes me feel when I see people’s relaxation, peace. There’s something that comes across about who they are, their expression of joy, sadness, anger. When I capture certain expressions, mostly candids, I say, wow, where did that come from? And it’s like a blessing.

What would you like someone to know about you?

Oh s**t, that’s hard. Whatever I present to you, I disappear and you become more. I’m not about you saying I made this great photo. I care about revealing you. I’m a platform to elevate your essence. My priority is about the subject and not about me.

Can you share one cool, interesting or weird thing about you?

I’m a mystery. You can’t figure me out. You can’t put me in a box, can’t label me. And I like it that way. People want to categorize you and you can’t do that with me. That gives me the freedom to create art. I think that’s my power in creating art.

What You Get

Post-Processing

Post-processing of your favorite shots from our shoot is included in your project price. For relatively small adjustments, you'll receive this as part of our work.

Things like removing an unsightly outlet plate that was in the wrong spot or retouching shine are included. I've got you covered.

Special Post-Processing

When you're going for something unique, you can opt for special post-processing effects. Your imagination is the guide. There are many things we can do to create a unique look and feel, whether it's adding texture, color or special effects.

We can also create magical artwork by combining images. We'll talk it through when we map out your project. I can show you examples and you can show me what you've got in mind. Think extraordinary.

Props

You may want to consider renting props, depending on the type of shoot you've got in mind. We can create a unique atmosphere with the right props.

Sometimes interesting props can create exactly what you'd love, even more so than a particular location. We can rent almost anything you can imagine. We'll consider what will work best for your goals.

Monthly

When you know you'll need ongoing photos, for instance, for a real estate developer, corporate reports or an entrepreneur who wants to keep things updated, you can book a monthly slot and receive advantageous pricing. Book a half or full day, depending on your needs.

Monthly bookings are for any 6–12 months, not necessarily a calendar year.

Quarterly

As with monthly bookings, your business or project may require an ongoing influx of fresh imagery. Highlight specials and present your latest offerings. Whatever your subject, when you know you'll need recurring, captivating pictures, you'll benefit from advantageous pricing by booking for the year.

A year is any 12 months, not necessarily a calendar year.

Weddings

Wedding photographs last a lifetime. They capture one of the most important days of your life. I'm not your standard wedding photographer. My wedding photos capture real moments. My expertise will ensure your photographs are beautiful and of the quality you want.
